Topic: Smart Pumps
Speaker: Steve Babin (Emerson Swan)

You will be captivated by Steven’s presentation style and working knowledge of Pump Curves and how they interact with hydronic system curves. Selection, application and optimization of Smart Pumps and their interaction with the hydronic system will be revealed in this presentation.

Steven’s career in the field of hydronics began as a young man on Municipal, Commercial and Industrial work in the Boston Metro area. His exposure to hydronic systems both heating and cooling from grade school age left him with love of the field not easy to shake. Misguided and thinking his calling was the lights of Broadway, Steven took up installing boilers and repairing hydronic systems to support his starving actor role through the late 80’s. Steven opened a Mechanical Contracting firm in the Metro New York area eventually moving back to New England and continued hydronic contracting through the 90’s. Steven’s contracting firm specialized in hydronics installation and troubleshooting. Steven accepted a role in the mid 90’s with the acclaimed firm of Emerson Swan, Inc. and began training stake holders in selection application and troubleshooting of hydronic systems and their components. Steven has held a role with international manufacturer training throughout North America with exceptional praise from attendees on content and training style. Currently Steven assists in the selection and application of products to the Engineering community in Boston area for Emerson Swan, Inc.
